HOW WE WILL WORK TOGETHER
Initial contact
Call or email me to establish if I am available on your wedding date. We can discuss your requirements and if you would like, organise a time to meet.
First Meeting
This meeting will give you the opportunity to ask any questions and decide if I am the right celebrant for you. There is no obligation to proceed at this stage. If you would like, we can start the legal documentation by completing a Notice of Intended Marriage form and I can view your birth certificate or passport (if born overseas) and decree absolute or certificate of divorce (if you have been previously married).
Subsequent Contact
We will work together using the Wedding Ceremony Manual I provide to design a ceremony that is perfect for you. This can be developed via telephone or email.
Second Meeting
Before your wedding day we will meet again to finalise all details and so you can sign the statutory declaration which states that there is no legal impediment to your marriage. If you would like a rehearsal at your wedding venue or other location we can do this at the same time.
Your Wedding Day
I will arrive at least 30 minutes before your ceremony to make sure everything is prepared so you can be relaxed and confident knowing that all is in order. I will ensure that your wedding ceremony meets all your expectations.
I will present you with a Certificate of Marriage. This isn’t a proof of identity document but is evidence of your change in marital status. To change your name you are required to apply for a Marriage Certificate from NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. I will provide you with the application form or this can be completed online.
Lodgement of Legal Documents
After your ceremony I will finalise the legal process by lodging all documents with NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
